Our yurt was clean. Restrooms were clean. My only suggestion would be to have mirrors and a little bit of a counter in the restroom for when brushing teeth and washing face.

The campground, camp staff, and lake are all so beautiful and fantastic. Unfortunately, at the risk of sounding like I'm 80 years old, Fallen Leaf Lake is not where you want to go if you want to camp peacefully with people who understand camping etiquette. From loud generators, to parties at midnight, to people walking through our campsite, it's apparent that the Fallen Leaf Camping scene is not my scene any longer. The lake was wildly crowded with people crowding the shore making it hard to launch my paddle board without running the risk of knocking over someone's unsupervised child. If a raucous, family camp is your scene, you will truly love this place. The hosts are lovely, the camp store has a good level of supplies, the showers are a godsend after a long day on the lake. As for me, I'll be seeking quieter pastures for my next adventure.

It was an excellent stay. lots of fun, hope to do it again. Had a great time, and all the Host were very helpful. The Host near us was super knowledgeable about the Bears what to do if you encounter them and we did encounter some so it came in very handy. I believe his name was Cody and was super friendly, he had a frisbee golf setup at his site. We hope to come back again next summer. Thanks for all the memories

I only put 4 stars as the restroom next to the Yurt #198 we stayed was closed and we asked the hosts why they said its being fixed but they said the fixing started since May when they opened back but i didn't see anyone was fixing it for our 2 days stay there, it was so inconvenient for all campers in that location, I see a lot of people trying to go there but i bet they were disappointed too that it was closed, we have to walk far to the next restroom and no luck in using the showers as we didn't have tokens we didn't know we were not informed that we have to buy tokens i thought i could use our quarters, it was our first time to camp in fallen leaf and to stay in a Yurt, i was able to get a last minute available Yurt site. Campground was clean, nice, quiet and spacious and the fallen leaf lake did not disappoint, had a nice swim in the refreshing icy cold water, perfect summer weather and it was our first time camping in the area of South Lake Tahoe. Overall we had a great time, staff are so friendly. Wish they could fix that bathroom soon.

We have always loved Fallen Leaf Lake Campground at South Lake Tahoe. It's one of our favorite places and we having been camping there many times over the last 25 years. I'm no longer comfortable sleeping on the ground so the Yurts were a perfect compromise. The bunks were pretty comfortable, it includes a heater and light. One night we had temps in the upper 20's and the Yurt was toasty. The campground was clean and quiet and most sites are spacious. There is hardly a bad site. One $1 shower token gets you 3 long minutes of a warm enough shower. The little camp store is well stocked and has some cute souvenirs and everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. So many things to do in South Lake Tahoe. We rented bikes one day from Anderson's Bicycle Rental (very reasonable) and visited the historical sites that are close to the campground. Sadly, the Taylor Creek Visitor Center is still closed for repairs but there are lots of other places to explore.
