The campground overall is quiet and has some really nice sites. The middle loops seem to be possibly older, have shorter driveways, and are a little cramped with other neighbors. But still a lot better than a lot of NF campgrounds we have been to. It’s one of our favorite campgrounds to date. The lake is a short walk away, and is really nice to sit at in the late afternoon to relax. Many families spend the day there but we were looking for a quiet stay. There are several shower houses spread throughout the campground. Many of them however, have NO hooks whatsoever to hang anything on. All the pegs have been broken off. The showers are a toilet/sink/shower combo, which kind of grosses me out a little bit. The showers closest to the 101 site were boiling hot and hard to get into. You need to buy tokens at the machine outside the camp store $1 per token, 1 token = 3 minutes. There is no warning that the water will shut off like with some other campgrounds. It’s a surprise. The campground has very little to no cell service with Verizon, ATT or atMobile, and Ben with a booster. Enough to send texts or maybe a call but not much internet. It will say you have “full bars” but you won’t be able to do anything. I found this to be the case across much of the entire lake area. The campground is well kept up and there are a lot of hosts. I think firewood was $9 a bundle. There are bears that frequent the campsites, so be sure to never leave food out, even if you’re right there. We had one visit twice, and heard “bear commotion” nearly every night we were there from at least one site, usually around dinnertime. Overall, We had a relaxing stay and can’t wait to stay again!
