We were tent camping, and a massive motor home pulled in next to us. They ran theirwhat sounded a gas furnace, every 30 minutes throughout the night and most of the day. I really love the location of this campground, but this was extremely disappointing.

We always have a wonderful stay at Fallen Leaf Campground. The staff was very helpful on the morning we were headed home and didn't have battery power to bring in our pop-out on our trailer. They staff and one of the hosts suggested ideas, looked through schematics of the trailer, and helped us arrive at a solution. We were very thankful!

Overall, our camping experience was amazing. The campground is one of the best we have stayed at, and the campground hosts for the most part are very kind and attentive. We love all the trees, hikes, lakes and even the BEARS. Now the way others handle the bears, not so much. But we've always camped where the bears are active, so we've learned to just be on our toes when we're cooking or have food out of the lockers. The experience the bears bring is exciting. To see nature up close, and just observe how these massive wild animals live bring out a whole new experience to the great outdoors.

We love Fallen Leaf. The sites are very nice and the bathrooms are super clean.Kids can ride bikes, run and play! The lake is so nice and it is not as crowded.

Great location! Close to all the main trailheads and beautiful views that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Friendly Hosts throughout the campsite, and very well maintained facilities.

The campground, showers and bathroom were clean clean clean!!! Campsites roomy. Not too crowded. Great location. It would be nice if campers could park somewhere close to the path to the lake so we could more conveniently haul our beach items (kayak) to the lake

The location is key! Just a short, beautiful walk to the lake and not as crowded as Tahoe across the highway. We highly recommend it!

This is the first time that I've been in a campsite where a large trailer in the campsite next to me ran his generator almost nonstop! Very frustrating when you are tent camping. I was in #50 and site #51 was open/available and I asked the host if I could switch and they said no. No one was in that spot that night or the next. I wish the campground has generator restrictions like some other campgrounds do.

This is a lovely campground set in towering Ponderosa pines about 1-2 miles away from Lake Tahoe. The camping sites are quite standard, with neighbors pretty much all around, but the campground is not stressfully packed, even in the middle of summer, like some other locations. It would be nice if it were within walking distance of Lake Tahoe, but you can't have everything...
