The new concessionaire appears to investing in the campground . This is one of our favorite campgrounds and happy to see this happening.

Awesome spot near the front where the shop was. Tiny walk to bathrooms and showers. For showers all you need is to get tokens and one token gives like 3 minutes of a hot shower. There were bugs and this site had a ton of ant hills, the ants didnt get in the way of anything but just noticed them. Kind if an uneven ground too.

Fallen Leaf is a beautiful campground. Sites are generally spacious and spread apart with lots of trees and shade throughout. Easy access to Fallen Leaf lake and Lake Tahoe/Visitor Center/Tallac estates and the amenities of Camp Richardson are all within walking distance. The campground and bathrooms/showers are clean and convenient. Dogs (mine too) love it here as well and there are lots of them around. Camp hosts obviously care about this campground and it shows in how well its maintained. My family and I have been coming here for 30 years and are always glad to be here. I have noticed an increase in noisy, inconsiderate neighbors however and would like to see all electronic music prohibited. Hearing the thump of dance music or classic rock is not my idea if communing with nature. I would mandate headphones for anyone who cant seem to survive without their annoying to others music. I highly recommend this campground and hope to continue coming for years to come.

Amazing campground. Really the only annoyance are the constant generators run everywhere. I wish they would electrify parts of the campground and designate those as "no generator zones". Otherwise, if you like nature, you're going LOVE this campground. We will return.

Beautiful spot. The staff was very kind and friendly. They even delivered our firewood to our campsite, since we were on foot when we made our purchase. This is a very active campground - it seems many folks use it as a basecamp to explore the area. Lots of traffic in and out, but not in a bad way. The lake is gorgeous with many little trails to walk. Also quite windy while we were there. The bathrooms were clean and stocked.
