Camp host female was extremely rude. When asked where we can park our truck she said in the road sideways in front of our camper we said and risk it being side swiped? She said absolutely. Instead of being helpful. Luckily another male camp host came by he was a veteran, super nice and helpful. Also, camp sites are super small and tight. When booking the site apparently you have to include your vehicle length with your trailer. Never booked a camp site that way.

Location is excellent and the camp staff and hosts were most professional. Amenities however are severely lacking. Restroom facilities did not have hot water and the faucets were those push variety. Understand the desire to conserve water but the on, then off faucets make it difficult to brush teeth, shave or even wash face and hands. Also there were no mirrors in the restrooms. So this was a definite negative. Additionally , our campsite - 164 - was very strangely laid out: From the "bear" locker near the entrance to the site it was about 20 or 30 feet to the grill, then another 20 or 30 feet to the fire pit, and finally another 20 or 30 feet to the picnic table, A very dispersed campsite to say the least. All in all, if it wasn't for the location, this campground would barely rate one star.

Nice area next to beautiful Fallen Leaf Lake. There are some nice hikes close to the campground. Lake Tahoe is a short distance away via bike or car

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the space between campsites and that campers were not on top of each other. The location was centrally located to South Lake sights and not to far from town. Will definitely stay heard again.

Restrooms should be renovated.
Also, too many bears around. I am not sure what they can do about the bears.

The new $10 daily fee to park in the only lot near the lake, even for registered campers, is excessive. An overflow lot is sorely needed in this campground. Cell service (AT&T) was non-existent.
