A very beautiful campsite with plenty of shade under large trees and lots of privacy. Unfortunately, the showers were out of order during our stay, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, a lovely and peaceful place to stay!

Fallen Leaf Lake...words can't describe its beauty and serenity. The lake is crystal clear, nice temperature and has the cutest minnows that swim right up to you. Bring watersocks, the lakebottom is rocky. The campground is clean, well maintained and lots of space between campers. When we checked in at the kiosk, they reminded us about the potential for bears and to make sure to use the bear container for all food. Thankfully we didn't see any but we sure heard the coyotes at night. We weren't concerned since we know alot about coyotes and they kept their distance. We were lucky enough to spot one of these beautiful and majestic creatures the morning of our departure. This place will be our go-to location where we can relax, enjoy nature and admire the beauty it has to offer.

Fantastic campground. The sites are spacious and you feel like you are all alone at times. The only downside was the water faucets were all under siege by yellow jackets.

Our family's 4th year coming to Fallen Leaf and we will be coming back for years to come. Staff at the front at nice and helpful, bathrooms are clean, and sites are large enough for big families. A true escape from the crowds and craziness of Lake Tahoe

This campground is huge and beautiful, I appreciated having a jumping off point for backpacking into desolation wilderness. That said, the $38 price is a little absurd, not to mention the showers cost extra (and you can only get tokens at the kiosk) and some of the water pumps are completely overwhelmed by Yellowjackets. For $38, I want free showers and easily and safely accessible water and trash disposal. Otherwise, nice.

Campsite lovely with great beach access and biking trail access. Access road into campsite in terrible rough condition for RVs and not wide enough for two vehicle passage. Illogical condition of access for the camping pressure on this park.

Preferred over Camp Richardson, much less crowded, great facilities, many amenities in the area. Love love love experience

The staff was wonderful, the campground is beautiful, and we loved everything except the pay showers weren’t always working.

This was our third summer camping at Fallen Leaf Lake. It’s a beautiful place! The biggest challenge was the local bear mama and her cubs, but we were careful with our food, so they didn’t stick around our camp for long.
