Spacious campsites, great camp staff keeping campsites clean and organized. Only complaint is they are charging a day use fee $10 now at the lake in addition to the campsite fee per day.

The location is beautiful. Fantastic camp shop. Very helpful staff. Toilet and shower facilities could be kept a bit better.

Nice campground. The hosts were good people. I'm a tent camper who likes to hike and go back to the campground and shower in the evening before eating, I would say about 85% of the campers were the big RV crowd with lots of expensive toys. Most everyone respected the other campers. We did have a large group next to us not follow the 10 pm quiet rules and were drunk and yelling late into the night but I guess that happens sometimes. The camp spots are about 2 or 3 times the size of most campgrounds which was great for sound though. The showers kinda worked, you buy tokens at the front and they give you 3-4min, a few showers don't work and didn't say out of order. The location is perfect, its close to fallen leaf lake and lake tahoe, lots of great hikes. There were also like no mosquitos, which was fantastic. If you forget anything the city is only like 10min down the road. I went to the grocery outlet a couple of times.

First time camping here. It was easy to find and nicely spaced out. I walked around to scope out other campsites and most of them have plenty of room to put your tents and camp chairs. I did find it odd that a lot of campsites had tandem parking for 2 cars instead of side-by-side. It's not a deal-breaker, just need to plan on how to efficiently load and unload from your cars. Bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. Too bad we didn't get to experience the 5-star bathrooms due to COVID-19 closures. Also, due to high fire risk, we were not able to use the fire bowls for camp fire. But we just enjoyed the quietness of the night and stars. The camp hosts were very nice and friendly. It's a short walk to Fallen Leaf Lake as well as other trails leading to Lake Tahoe. It was also a very short drive to other scenic Lake Tahoe locations as well as the casinos and restaurants for those who prefer indoor activities. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
