The campsites are really large, almost every one was what might be considered a group campsite at many smaller campgrounds. Fees were higher compared to other campgrounds. We had a very nervous night of sleep being one of the few tents around and a bear going in/out of our site during the night. On the plus side minus the bear it was very quiet!

Camp 74: Spacious campsites that are surrounded by pine trees. 5 min. walk to pic perfect Fallen Leaf Lake with still, glassy, clear water that mirrors the adjacent snow lined mountains. Truly a magical place to visit. But do be mindful of the bears...some are on the smaller side 2-300 lbs. but others look like a refrigerator w/arms/legs & a head. HUGE. *Please be sure to use the bear lockers* Any hiking (away from campground especially) should carry bear spray or air horn & remember to make a lot of noise when moving about (especially in the early morning). Good adventuring & above all, be safe.

This was the first time at Fallen Leaf Lake campground. We enjoyed it so much we added a night. In addition, as soon as available we plan on staying ext spring and fall. The sites are larger than expected and the bathrooms were very, very clean. Thank you to the hosts and staff that do such a great job.

One of the best campsites! Super clean toilets and campsites. Be aware of bears. We saw bear passing by us (probably 30ft distance) as soon as we built our tent and while making dinner. Walk to lake was super close. And it was beautiful.

Very nice campground, just pay careful attention to site lengthmost are rather short and many had inappropriately long rigs in them.

Clean restrooms, friendly staff and great bear awareness by all the campers. Will definitely camp here again.
