Look no further for your Lake Tahoe camping adventure! Fallen Leaf Lake has it all in one beautiful outdoor recreation area! Swimming, boating, horseback riding, hiking, and just outdoor relaxation at its best. There isnt a bad campsite in the whole campground. Showers & restrooms are conveniently located throughout the campground. There is also a on-site store!! The staff are friendly & very helpful with suggestions & questions.Weve been camping at Fallen Leaf for decades. There are a lot of camping opportunities in the Tahoe area, but we always return to Fallen Leaf Campground a couple times each summer! It is really heavenly!

Sensational fallen leaf lake, beautiful large campgrounds, quick access to Tahoe city. We were visited by bear twice in a row at night.

Great location for a family as Baldwin Beach is across the road and close to many great hikes. Only a hike around the lake. Only downside was the showers, they are also toilets, so during the day the floor becomes dirty and therefore hard to keep your feet clean after showering. The forest service might look into this

Have to be militant with food, fruity scented products, and not having them in your car, tent, body.Night 1, 400 pound black bear in our camp, day 2 mama bear and two cubs near our camp, They broke into a neighbors cooler later in the day, which was mistakenly left out of the secured bear storage lockers. Night 3 mama bear and cub in our campsite searching for food. The bears are very stealthy and you will not hear them come or go! But they aren't after humans only the food we have. They are used to campers.Fallen leaf lake was very beautiful, quiet, and heavenly place to swim les people then south lake tahoe. I wanna go back but I will get a hotel and get a day use pass for the campground. Too risky at dark because of the bears

Great campground. Very large camp sites. Clean facilities. The bears were active one of nights of our visit, they activated multiple car alarms, but we did not see any in our immediate area. That night the coyotes were also howling . The campground has access to it own lake and small beach , and is close to multiple Lake Tahoe beaches. Don't forget to buy your shower tokens at the entry gate area. We were told that because of the local fire danger, camp ground fires were going to be banned beginning August 20,2022. During the day and early evening the weather is warm, but late at night and early mornings it is little chilly. Over all great experience.

This was our first stay there. We booked 3 nights and decided to stay longer we loved it, but a huge family occupied a yurt ( about 15) right behind us so we didnt get much rest very noisy people day and night. As for the entire place I give 5 stars. Very friendly staff, clean sites, huge areas, bear boxes are large. Scenery was out of this world. Clean showers uses tokens no problem. Short walk to the lake that was so beautiful. We will definitely come back but try to find a more remote campsite next time.

We enjoy Fallen Leaf Lake campground. The spaces aren't too close together. Also, bathrooms are kept clean. We love that there are showers. Wish they would have told us at the gate about using "tokens" in the showers instead of quarters. Now we know. :0)Wish reservations weren't so hard to get!
