Our campsite was #102, one of the picnic benches should be replaced, it's horrible and will cause harm.

Site 84horrible site. There wasnt a single flat spot for a tent. The lake was nice but sleeping on a slope was awful.

Would never camp here again at least during the summer months. The lake level was extremely low, so we did not have a lake side site. Apparently everyone thought our camp site was a great way to get to the lake because during the day people were constantly walking through our site which would set off our dog. The site was not level so pitching a tent was difficult and we were sleeping on a hill. When we arrived at the campsite, it hadn't been cleaned at all and there was broken glass and trash all over and the fire pit was filled with burned up aluminum cans and a giant glass jar along with ash and charred wood. We spent the time to shovel out the pit with our trench shovel and disposed of it. The table at the site looked like it was set on fire at one point too. It was extremely hot when we were there was only one tree that offered no shade. We did have a easy up but other than that there was no escape from the sun. The bathrooms were what to be expected, and was pleasantly surprised that there was toilet paper since I read ahead of time that they were often out by the evening. After spending the day in the lake we discovered that because of the low water level there were leaches in the lake and that just about did it for us. We pretty much packed up in the sweltering heat and left a day early. We are avid campers but we will not be returning to Acorn Campground or New Hogan Lake.

Campsite itself is nice but two major problems! First, the campsite rangers are never around. We had a very annoying group of people next to our camp site. They were loud and played loud music from 7am until way past midnight. After complaining to the campground staff about it, they said they would drive by at 10pm and make sure people are quite! No one showed up. The next day (Saturday) most of the time, no campsite staff around to talk to! So we had to listen to the obnoxiously loud music of the people next to us all day long! Second, bathrooms are dirty! I don't think I will be coming to this campground again!

There was a lot of garbage all over. The restrooms were not clean. The water was nice, but super low :(

Very nice place. Men’s restroom had a broken toilet seat. Camp sites were pretty rocky, hard to find a flat area with less rocks for the tent. Otherwise, great place.
