Was disappointed in this camping experience. Other campers walking through other peoples campground; dogs roaming around off leash starting fights with other dogs, same dogs cornering people in bathrooms, and owners allowing them to walk into other campsites - walking on tents people are trying to setup, letting them pee and poop in other campsites; bathrooms were disgusting, showers missing shower heads, people taking toilet paper rolls, and leaving toilets unflushed; people letting their children play on other peoples water floats and allowing their children (under 6) to walk in the road way while other concerned parents are walking them around trying to find their parents. A lot of the sites are unlevel which is semi typical for lake side camping. Boaters not paying attention or just not knowing about no wake zones. As an FYI - Campground gates close at 10p and dont open again until 8a(?). You can drive out but not back in due to tire spikes. You can however park in visitor parking and walk in (or have someone in the campground drive around to pick you up. Plus side is that the grocery store is very close (about 5-7min drive) for restocking of food, ice and stuff. Pay attention to campsites - there were quite a few that had absolutely no shade which is tough in the summer. Strangely did not encounter any mosquitos at night although there seems to be a gnat surge for about an hour or so after nightfall. Non white lights were best to avoid them. There was no gate person on Thursday or Friday when majority of our group checked in (between noon and 4p). Luckily we knew our campsite numbers and just followed signs to our spots- did take a little while though.

Normally I love acorn.. but we booked for one day stay at campsite 107 for my son's birthday. Normally when you stay at this campsite you have access to the private section of the beach that shared between 105 and 107. Unfortunately the people staying at 105 took up literally the entire beach. So even though we were staying at the campsite and paying to be there we had to find somewhere else to be. It was really irritating and I didn't pay money to have to find another beach. I think people should respect the campsite and share it with everyone else and not act like it's their own personal beach.
