I had a great site with a gorgeous view and perfect temperature. Robert was the on-duty ranger. He was friendly and helpful. Give him a raise! I had a great time and am looking forward to my next trip there!

It's a shame we had to camp next to a bunch of homeless people who basically had their campsite looking like a shanty town. Their garbage and junk laying everywhere. They lived and slept in their cars and had a generator they ran all day and all night until I asked the ranger to remind them about quiet hours. It's a shame that camping is no longer an adventure in enjoying the tranquil outdoors, might as well go to San Francisco. I realize everyone has the right to camp but there needs to be some level of monitoring of the campground. Their campsite (54) was a disgrace and an eyesore. Very disappointing .

Love this place. Clean, spacious, and quiet.

Park rangers need to be reasonable and consistent in enforcing the rules. My handicapped daughter was camping near us. Her sight was quite far from the toilet and the one directly across from the toilet was available. I asked one ranger if it was OK to move. He told me yes. The next day a different ranger told us she had to move or call rec.gov to make a change in sites. We called rec.gov and was told we needed to talk to the range. The park had few visitors at the time and there were many spaces available. My daughter was only going to be there for 2 days and would be leaving the day after the ranger told her she needed to move. As it turned out she did not and was not asked to leave.

During the off season, it would be very helpful, especially to retirees to be able to stay on a FCFS basis. Seniors are more flexible than the working campers and when campgrounds are not busy, some flexibility would be very helpful.

Still, all in all ,a very enjoyable stay and a very well maintained campground.
