We make this trip every year and it is one of our favorite trips.

Beautiful river. Sites are mostly fairly private. Choose wisely. Bath houses are old and not clean. River is worth the trip. Zero cell service.

The park is in a beautiful setting along the banks of the Buffalo National River. Campsites are kept very clean. The public restrooms/showers are kept very clean as well. NOTE: The campsites do not have sewer connections! The dump site is located on the road to the park, up on the ridge. This makes it very inconvenient to tow your little blue "honey bucket" all the way out of the canyon to the dump site. So, conserve space in your holding tanks! Use the public facilities for showering, etc.Canoeing on the river is a great experience. The outfitters, located near the park, will make it easy to get on and off the river. Give it a try! I recommend you visit this park!

This is a beautiful and relaxing campground. Very well maintained and clean. I will come back. Be aware that there is no cell service in the campground!

We had an excellent three days. The campsite have water and electricity which was excellent and the bathroom was close and always clean. The people were very friendly. We only encountered one Critter-a raccoon, walking to the bathroom but he was no problem. You could walk right down the hill from our campsite to the swimming area which was awesome. We went canoeing and all though my husband had us going upstream, we had a wonderful time. The only problem we encountered was there was no cell phone signal at all, we had to drive to the store up on the hill to get a cell phone signal. But at the same time it was kind of nice that my phone didn't work. I would recommend Buffalo Point State Park to anybody for camping. We even took a hike and there were signs on the hiking Trails. Awesome place!

We went on a weekend in October and were able to enjoy the weekend trip with beautiful days and chilly nights with the ample hikes in the surrounding areas. The campground host and NPS were all very kind whenever we had questions as well.

We love camping at Buffalo Point Campground. This was our 4th trip there. The host is very friendly and helpful. The spacious campsites are always spotless when you pull in and some even have a little bench for extra seating. It was recently designated as a dark skies national park. There is a lot to do in this area such as tubing down the Buffalo National River which I love because in the summer the water is warm, touring caverns in the area, and fishing in the White River which is famous for it's huge trout. It's also a beautiful area in the Ozark Mountains in the spring, summer and fall. We love this area so much we actually bought 7 wooded acres in Yellville where we will build our retirement home. One thing I wish they had was cell phone coverage in the actual campground. You can make calls at the top by the Ranger Station but it's too far to walk so you actually have to take the car to the top even though it's not that far by car. The people in the area, both local and campers are the most friendly we have ever met and we have been all over the country. If you love being in nature, enjoy wildlife, and love peaceful quiet nights by the fire you will love this campground. We always keep our campsite free of any kind of food and take our trash to the bin so we have never had a problem. However, beware at night to keep the campsite very clean and everything put up because the local raccoons love to visit and make a mess while you are sleeping. The campers next to us left their trash bag outside and dirty plates and serving bowls on the picnic table one night and woke up to a horrible mess the next morning.
