With some services understandably unavailable, remaining staff were doing their best to keep things running. This is still a lovely park and I hope it remains so.

This is a great campground. The sites are nice, the bathrooms are nice, and the views are great.

I lost my dog the first day there. She was tied up on her leash when I did a quick task and got spooked and bolted breaking the handle she was tied too and fled scared with her leash attached. I went to ask the campground host to help spread the word. The wife said you know theres predators out there that will get her I thought this was a horrible comment to make to someone who just lost their pet family member. He rode by our site and the cooler had gotten knocked over and spilt all out food and drinks scattered around. We had not had time to pickup because we were out looking for her. Every minute counted. She had ran up through the woods and I was so worried her leash would get tangled up in the heavy woods. Later I was driving around and pulled off the ride going down to the river. Instead of leaving my Jeep at my site to save time. He put a warning on my Jeep about not parking there. I felt this was entirely in appropriate knowing that I was out desperately looking for my dog. I had words with him over it and he called the rangers on me and tried to act like I had trashed my campsite. I told him we had had NO time to clean up yet.! I have been camping at the Buffalo River for 55 years!!! Even before if was a National river. Never in that time have I ever encountered such a rude person. Especially someone who is suppose to be there to help the campers and be a good steward. It was a horrific upsetting situation that they made exponentially worse by there lack of compassion for our situation. My pup did not return that night. The next day a sweet ranger named Gidget I believe, spotted my dog Sydney and sat with her with water and treats until they could get a hold of me. THIS is how a true servant behaves. She was selfless in the heat to keep an watchful eye on her not approaching to make sure not to spook her again. I was reunited with Sydney because of her. We were suppose to be there a week, and left early

We love this campground and try to get here twice a year. We are hoping to be a campground host upon retirement.

We were there Early Sept, site C39. Site was level with some shade in the morning and afternoon. If you want to get off the Grid with no phone, internet, TV this is the place to go. We were able to pick up about 4 radio stations. It had rained before we got there and on our first full day there it rained again so that Saturday we went down to the River and it was very cold, there was also a lot of Moss in the river. The park actually had a event at the Amphitheater on Saturday night and we saw the Park Rangers several time thru out the day interacting with kids in the camp. There were several hiking trails that we were able to do with the entrance to them within walking distance from our campsite section C. Our site C39 is the first site into section C it is located next to a field for Tent Camping and next to Pavilion 3. There is also a Bathroom with shower (only one shower in Women's) right new to the pavilion but keep in mind that all the tent camper are using this Bathroom and shower as well. There is another bathroom only in the C section. Also this site has the Campsite Dumpster next to it (keep in mind the temp while we were there was high 80's with 50% humidity) and we never smelled the dumpster. There is restaurant at the top of the mountain.

The only thing I could write is the lack of internet and phone service.

Very nice park very well kept. Do not get camp C39 next to the pavilion. you will have people coming in the camp and being loud next to you

C39 was a good site; closest to dumpster which led to the occasional smell. Set back from adjacent site for some privacy. Walk to river access was not long. Campground was well patrolled and very clean! Hikes were well marked and great for kids. Nearby recreation sites were moderately available considering COVID closures. Had to drive up road for cell service. Did not use bathroom facilities.
