The RV camp sites are very nice and shaded. The views were very scenic- especially the River bluffs. The picnic tables and fire pits are handy. I would suggest better signage on the road going thru the park. We were not sure where to go when we came to the turnoff for the group sites- which way were the RV camp sites? A sign at the group site turnoff pointing to the RV loops would have been helpful. Dont want to go the wrong direction pulling an RV. :)The camp host and rangers were very courteous. The showers facilities were nice as well.

Please be respectful of other campers. Not everyone wants to hear your kids scream or play. Also, remember volume of your voices or radio needs to be heard inside your campsite and not at your neighbors.

Buffalo River Campground is so beautiful!!! The Dogwood trees were in full bloom. We had such a wonderful time. The park is very clean. Beautiful river, wonderful kayaking, and some great hiking trails! There is absolutely no service there, unless you go up to the Ranger station. Bathhouses were closed due to covid, really could have use them because the dump station is all the way back up pass the ranger station. We will definitely go back!

Campground was beautiful, with nearby access to the river. Bathrooms were clean. The lack of cell service makes for a real chance to disconnect, but if you need service in between, be prepared to drive! The nearest towns are not super near and have limited resources.

The Buffalo National River is one of our favorite summer weekend trips! We've been visiting since 1993 and recently switched from tent camping to an RV. We found Buffalo Point to be very RV friendly! Water and electric hookups, paved and pretty level sites with picnic tables and firerings. We hike the trails in the winter and kayak or tube float in the summer. In July 2019 we stayed in site 62, loop D, with our 22 ft trailer. It could easily have fit a longer trailer. In 2018 we stayed in loop A with our 18 ft R-Pod, it was steep and has tight curves. I'd avoid loop A if you have a big rig. Wild Bill's store is convenient for stocking up and a good location to use Verizon as we get no service down by the river. The ranger station and visitors center staff were friendly and maps are free. The campground is surrounded by forest and the pines, my favorite, are beautiful! We didn't bring bicycles here, but some loops are level enough for riding. The roads in and out are very steep for pedaling, though. The campsites are not directly on the water, but it's an easy walk or a quick drive to the gravel riverbank. The dump station is located on the way out and was fully functional. We will visit again!
