We booked an RV spot under the impression it could accommodate a tent per the site. Our assigned site had no room for a tent, the only possible place to set it up was in a wash that was full of water due to rain. Most of the RV spots after driving the loop are not usable by tent unless you plan on setting it up in the paved pull out area for the RV. Luckily, the camp host was very accommodating (shout out to her) and she moved us to an admin site which did allow for a tent. Due to the rain, most of the tent sites were not occupied (despite full booking). It would be great if the recreation.gov site would allow camp hosts the ability to move reservations around so we could have used one of these sites. Additionally, recreation.gov should make it so that I could transfer my payment for a campsite to one of the unused first come first serve sites. According to the camp host these have not been fully booked all summer because (like us) we didn't want to risk coming all the way to the park and not be able to camp if full. It's a shame there isn't a better process for knowing availability of sites and that people who don't plan on coming don't cancel their reservation.

Campground is beautiful and peaceful. There was a running creek behind our campsite and across from it which was amazing to fall asleep to. We went the first week in June and the water for the campground was not turned on yet. Water was available at the dump station for us during that time. Recommend doing the cave tours.
