Area where you set up your tent was kind of small compared to adjacent sites. Lacking shade, make sure you have an ez up or other type of shelter. There was an ant hill on the site, kids got bit. But the area was close to the bathroom, which was kept clean. The campground only had dumpsters near the entrance so throwing your trash away was a hike. Lots of selfish campers ended up filling up the bathroom trash can with their camp trash as a result. On the plus we were close to the rim trail and the showers. This is just a review of the site itself. The park is beautiful it was pretty awesome. First time taking my 2yo son camping and little dude had a blast.

Great campground for starting a hime on the loop trail and ending back at your site - no drive time ir shuttle hassle!

Tent camping on Loop D. Nice campground - each site has a picnic table, fire pit and tent pad. Bathrooms with toilets, sink and electrical outlet in each "loop" which was nice. Utility sink outside available as well which made cooking easy. Great to be so close to the rim trail. Many trees in the campsite but plenty of views of the stars at night.

Hosts were very accommodating and helpful when I accidentally cancelled our campsite (meant to cancel one at another park). We stayed 2 more nights in C Loop, site 84. Good, clean sites, some shade, bathroom lights not distracting to stars or to sleeping. Sink for washing dishes, and while you can use them for drinking water, Id recommend filling up at the water stations outside the Visitors Center or Sunset Point (also one available by bathrooms in Sunset Point parking lot.

Quiet, despite the number of campers. Water and bathroom were convenient. Parking was good. Well maintained and close to everything.

084 site was right next to the bathrooms. Not bad but the surface for my tent had very hard ground that was difficult to stake my tent on. Some noisy neighbors too.
