Lack of photos of individual campsites on website created a problem for us. The site we selected (#2) indicated there was space for our 22' trailer and our pickup. This was incorrect. The space was too short for both. With the narrow road through the campground and stumps and small trees in the way, backing into the space was very challenging. Also, the slope from front to back was significant, but fixable with our blocks. However the slope from side to side was extraordinary for a space suitable for trailers. We found the camp host, explained our challenge, and fortunately for us, she allowed us to check out 3 spaces available in the upper level of the campground. We chose space #29, which was perfect. We weren't adjacent to Bull Trout Lake, but a were short walk from a very beautiful Martin Lake. The campground was clean overall, with maintained spaces, clean toilets, and easy access to bear-proof dumpsters. The road into the campground from Idaho State Highway 21 had not yet been maintained. Take it slow through the potholes. A good experience overall.

Great spot. With the rain we expected, it seemed a lot of people decided to not come up for their reservations. There were a lot of open spots. There were a lot of frogs the kids had fun catching. However, there was a fresh batch of leeches too, so we had to check the children often.

The only unpleasant thing about this trip was a Rave going on nearby. It was in a dispersed campground spot so the campground host couldn't do much about it. The ranger and fish and game officer both came out to warn the party to keep it down, but it didn't help. The first night we heard loud music until 3am. It was constant throughout the day as well. However, the second night the thunderstorm drowned out the music so it didn't keep us up.

I'd highly recommend. Tents are easiest, however some of the campsites don't have much for flat ground. We did bring a trailer one year, and that was difficult to get parked. There is very little room to turn a trailer around.
