Beautiful campground and fairly large. Sites are well spread out and/or separated by trees allowing for fairly good privacy. It is a bit hilly, so walking and/or bike riding may be difficult for some.

Road in the Campground was tight. It was difficult getting out of pull through with 40ft motorhome and toad. It was foggy and rainy so couldn't really enjoy the stay.

Beautiful campground with 4 loops. Two for tents only, no campers allowed. The two camper/RV/van loops both allow generators from 8am - 9pm. I could set my watch on the generators coming on in the morning and going off (usually) at night. Super annoying. The guy across from us had one of the loudest generators I have ever heard, and it just destroyed any sense of peaceful camping. Now that generators are allowed, people are bringing shockingly large RVs and cramming them into the tiny camper spaces designed for tiny campers.

There needs to be one camper/small RV loop that bans generators. Then let us know in advance which loop that is so we can choose wisely. Either that or run shore power to all the RV sites.

Park is uniquely situated on blue ridge parkway, a beautiful drive. It has good and bad. First the good. It is situated between two great hiking trails; one to mt. Pisgah and the other to Frying Pan Tower. Campground was immaculate, they keep it very clean and everything is trimmed nicely. Elevation means temperatures are nice and cool. Dump site was easy to access and had all proper fittings. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Just down the parkway are some other great places like skinny dip falls. You cannot hike to these so you’d need to drive. Now the bad. Bring leveling blocks because most sights are way sloped. We were in site A10, and while surprisingly level it was more a rest stop then a pull through. The table wasn’t next to site, and everyone walked through to hit the showers. It was perfect for long weekend. I would go again

The park is well laid out for a mountain side location. Most sites are not level and there is distance between the rv sites and the table/firepit due to the terrain. Friendly helpful staff and clean restrooms make this place a great stop.
