Terrific campground - with so much overgrowth, there's excellent privacy between sites. Abundance of wildlife, access to waterfalls, hiking, and even a super tasty dinner across the street at the Mt. Pisgah Inn. Facilities are solid if not exceptional.

We had site d12. It was a decent site, but we didn't like how it connected directly to site d14. Also the only level spot was were the tent was, which made the picnic table unlevel so our stuff was constantly wanting to slide off. Also hard to find a comfortable spot for our chairs since they were unlevel. The campground could use more showers and have a lockable site in them instead of just a shower curtain. The location of the campground was great and it was nice to have the general store across the street for ice and firewood. If I could make a recommendation, have private shower and toilet rooms and a dishwashing station like they have at the Julian Price campground.

There was a big metal bin to store food. The wooded walkway to the bathroom was unusually scenic. There is no outdoor wash sink, but there are bear-proof trash bins near our camp site. There are no lights on the parkway, so there are tons of stars if you look up at night. We drove a few minutes to the picnic area and got great views of the Perseid meteor shower.
The only confusing part was that the camp store (which sells firewood) was a bit hard to find when we arrived after hours... It is across the parkway, on the same side as The Pisgah Inn, but on the northern end of the parking lot next to the parkway. I wish the camp store direction (and hours) could be noted on the campground map. We stopped at the café at The Pisgah Inn instead, where we picked up a pecan salad for some fiber and a simply decadent chocolate cake.
We are so glad we stayed at the Mt Pisgah campground!!
