Camping at Julian Price in early fall is wonderful. It is so peaceful and quiet and offers time to relax without distractions - only 3 campers on F loop. Wonderful experience.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is spectacular! Julian Price Campground is perfectly located so that you can enjoy Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain and so much more. But the bathroom on the F loop is in bad shape. The lights don't work and the doors are propped open. Kind of creepy.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. It's always in good condition, with friendly and helpful hosts and rangers around. The only minor complaint that I have concerns the cooking grates on some of the fire rings. There are two types in use, one type will go much lower than the other. The "high" one will get no closer than 12+ inches to the bottom. If you're just having a campfire this is not a problem, but if you're cooking with charcoal it is difficult to get heat close enough to the grate. I mitigated this issue by laying some firewood in and putting my charcoal on top of the wood. This helped, but it still was not as close to the grate as I would have liked.
