My son and I had a wonderful time on campsite A13. I t was close to the facilities and the lake.

We have been camping at Julian Price for 50 years. The location, camp sites, and the availability of showers makes this campground the perfect place for family vacations.

We had a great experience camping. Our sites were clean and perfect for our tents. We had a trail just behind our site and it was easy to get to the rest room or take a nice hike too. Our grandsons enjoyed fishing on the lake. We will go back next year.

Really like the sites in the A-loop, which are mostly tent-only. While we did not have a lakeside site, we walked around and it looks like the sites that are actually on the lake are A9 (best looking), A10, A19, A22 and A25. Sites generally had trees and bushes for some privacy, tent pads were level and the tables, which could not be moved, were well situated. Saw some beautiful sunsets over the lake, the short trails around it are nice. Only downside for A-loop was proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway itself; you can hear and even see it pretty easily. But traffic is mostly gone at night and generally wasn't a bother.

We stayed at JP while attending the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. Location was perfect as we had a nice drive over the viaduct twice a day! The tenting side of the campground is lovely, with rhododendron all around and views of the lake. Our site was quiet and roomy. Bathrooms are clean. The trailer loops, however, are a mess. The roads are terrible, the sites are close together, and there are vehicles everywhere.
