We really liked the campground. Nice mostly level site on dirt. Sites were spread out. There are trees and a grass area in the campsite and a nice view of the lake. Pit toilets were clean and didnt have a bad smell. Close to many places around Mt Rushmore. Road work going on made access a little more difficult.

Campground was amazing on the lake was beautiful, but the bathrooms had major issues, flies everywhere. Also, toilets would not seal and prevent the fly issues. If you can handle this then this campground will be awesome. Most campsites have a nice view of the lake even the ones that aren't on the edge. There is a gas station open till 10 pm that is a mile away if the bathrooms are too much (the bathroom there are clean).

Great camping location. This is a huge campground with a lot of places to camp, and terrific views of the lake. Pretty quiet as well since it is away from the main road.

The view was beautiful, weather was perfect. Would recommend staying here just know there is no way to fill up rv with water. You have to go 5 miles back down road to another campground and pay $5, you will also need to come back to that campground to pay $10 to dump when you leave Sheridan Lake

Campground is beautiful. Sites are spaced out quite well. Lots of shade. Traffic is managed well by virtue of having a camp check-in station. All run quite smoothly and efficiently. One observation was vault toilet condition/service. Checked in on a Friday and the rest facility service seemed to be daily - or more than once daily thru the weekend when campground usage was high. After the weekend, toilet service seemed to be infrequent ... if at all during weekdays. Don't know the specific schedule ... but it changed noticeably after the weekend.
