A very lovely place to be. A Site with sea-view. We had a stay at the end of the season. We had a rented 30 feet RV. We enjoyed the silence an pure nature. A good stay if you visit the NP. The only negative: only minimum mobile network an no wifiThe staff at the reception was very friendly an helpful.

Our site was absolutely amazingly beautiful. Our kids loved that they were so close to the marina where they could fish from the dock and see the boats come in. They talked to to all the fisherman going out in the water asking them about their catches. As parents it was nice to be at the campsite and still have eyes on the kids at the dock. We were right next to the vault toilets which were cleaned and taken care of everyday although the smell still wasnt great. Sheridan lake does not have a dump site so using our RV facilities werent an option since we are a family of 5. Wish Sheridan lake had some sort of black dump option on site. Water spigot was also next to toilet area and although I didnt love toting water the fact that we didnt need to tote it that far was nice. I wish these sites had electric hookups. Not being able to run a generator would be nice. We unfortunately needed to run a generator during the day to keep out solar battery charged since we were down in the valley and the trees limited the amount of sun we got for our solar to recharge them. We had an amazing time! It was so peaceful and beautiful. My husband said it was a spiritual experience to see the beauty. None of our cameras captured how beautiful it was. Definitely would recommend just be prepared to rough it even if you bring and RV.

There is no dump at this campground. Hosts were not very helpful in identifying a place to dump your RV. Other than that, things were pretty clean. Liked the loop closest to the boat launch. It was smaller, more remote and we could access the trailhead easily.

The campsite was clean and in good condition. The bathroom was cleaned diligently every day.

Campsite was quiet and secluded, lots of distance away from others. Clean and well maintained bathrooms. Nice beach, but a drive away. It was Sturgis week and we heard the traffic on the highway across the lake all daylight hours.

Sheridan Lake Campground is a beautiful place with spacious, well kept sites and gorgeous views all around. The only downside was that the vault toilets which were not cleaned for days on end during our stay. They were filled with flies, smelled terrible and were simply down right gross. I believe the camp hosts are responsible for cleaning the restrooms and the host in our area clearly was NOT doing his job. This was partially concerning due to the high summer usage in the midst of a global pandemic. Unacceptable, period.
