Site #12 - back in but will fit any rig, even a 45 footer. We have 35' class A and it was a great roomy level site. Had some shade, a little sun, farthest from the road, nice fire ring. VERY pleasant site. And of course no hookups but we knew that going in.

Oreville is just a few miles from Mount Rushmore, and the high price reflects that. Campsites were spread fairly far apart so we had plenty of privacy, but it was next to the highway and the pit toilets and water were quite far from our site. The site was extremely clean and well maintained.

Nice campground in good location in southern Black Hills.
The staff was pleasant.

Had a very nice time. Nice spot with some shade. Sites were spaced nicely apart from each other which was great! The pine forest had a great smell. During the day and early evening the sound of the traffic from the nearby highway is a little loud but later in the evening it died down and it’s really quiet. Warm days and cool nights made for great sleeping. Campground host was very personable as well.

The campground hosts were very helpful and friendly. We were aware of the highway traffic noise before we reserved the site on-line and while it was certainly hard to sleep at night overall the traffic noise wasn't enough to tarnish the great trip we had. It would be nice if the host didn't fire up the leaf blower at 8am to clean the vacated sites. Maybe thats a better job left until mid-morning.

Great smaller National Forest campground. Between Hill City and Custer and close to the Mickelson Trail. Only drawback is highway traffic noise but slows down at night so not as disturbing.

The campground was nice and clean, just a little noisy because of the proximity to the highway.
