Our camp host was wonderful! This was our second time at the Oreville Campground because it is so close to all the major attractions! Campground was well maintained and very clean! Just wish that we had electric hookups there!

Very nicely kept little campground. Great hosts who keep the vault toilets and fire pits cleaned. It's a little close to the highway but that didn't bother me. Not much traffic at night. I had number 24 which is a little farther from the highway than some. It's a long site and an easy fit for my smaller camper and truck. It does have big trees on either side but it's long enough to maneuver around them with most campers or motorhomes and their slide outs. Central location for local attractions. Close to Custer City and close enough to spend plenty of time exploring Custer State Park. A dump station would be a big improvement. Has waters hydrants to fill up fresh water containers. $2 a night for a dog on top of the $8 service charge for four nights was a bit much though.

Outside of the road noise till late at night this is a nice, well kept campground perfectly located between the major attractions!

Very clean sites. Nearby highway was noisy at times but couldn’t see it from my campsite. Convenient location within the black hills.

There is no nature involved anymore. South Dakota has sold itself for a tourism industry. The nature aspect of camping and being in the woods has been destroyed. Even the Mount Rushmore monument has been completely run over with a giant parking structure. I would not recommend going back again.
