Beautiful location and site.

This campground is easy access and beautifully kept. Mine was the last one and perfectly located for my needs. The second night however, there was such a downpour that my parking completely flooded so I conceded to getting a motel room instead.

The bathroom that I used definitely needs to be pumped out. There’s a cattle great that makes a hell of a lot of noise when people go over it in the middle of the night. Nobody really goes out there but maybe every few days to hang reservation notices. Which means that someone just showing up to the campground I’m not going online could take your spot before you get there. There’s just room for a lot of issues to happen as far as that goes. I was lucky enough to get a decent camping area and overall I did have a good time most definitely.

Our sight was advertised as 54'... um no... maybe technically, but unless you are very skilled don't attempt to back a 5th wheel in. It is a straight 90 with obstructions on both sides and across the narrow road. I had to move the trash cans to do a jackknife into the spot. To leave I had to go the opposite direction around their loop. Narrow roads, spots close together, don't recommend for newbies or busy times of week. Beautiful area close to highway though, so it had that going for it. Oh, the camp host wanted me to sign something for some reason.. never had anyone ask that before at any National Forest campground that I went to ever.. told her no and to her credit she did leave it alone. Don't recommend for large campers.

Move your daggum trash cans, no reason for them to be all up in the way of someone trying park!

The camp host Laura was fabulous. She has us laughing with her stories, and was just a joy to meet. She also has wood available for sale at her campsite for $6. Bring your hand sanitizer though, because the bathroom is a composting toilet. Go in prepared, and you'll have a great time sleeping under the fragrant Ponderosa pines.
