Appreciated the electricity at the reserved campsites - very appreciated bc my husband had to work. The pit toilets were gross - so many flies and smelt bad. Dumpsters were locked by the bathroom so had to hold onto our trash. Only stayed 1 night instead of 2 bc of the bathrooms. Bc of the road construction we couldnt get our family national park sign photo.

I loved the Ranger programs, and the canyon is amazing

Its very nice to be in the park (2nights). We were able to take advantage of late night ranger talks and expert led star gazing with telescopes because we were in the park. The sites are tight for those with trailers (22 Airstream) but we made it work without any issue. Would do it again for sure.

The campground is absolutely beautiful. The campsites are private, and the restrooms are easily accessible.

Liked the camp site although the online photos did not match the actual site (B22). Thee is just enough room to park a 19' travel trailer. And the space is dug into a rise so that the rear end of the space is 3' below the rear of the site and surrounded with large rocks. Be also aware that although drinking water is available, obtaining the water is a pain due to very low water pressure.

We spent 3 nights at the South Rim Campground and thoroughly enjoyed our time. It's a well-kept campground with clean restrooms. The canyon itself is stunning. The park is a very busy place but that is to be expected in such an awesome location. Some sites are very limited on shade and you can't get firewood in the park, so be prepared. Water was available but limited. We will definitely come back.

The Black Canyon is spectacular. The campgrounds do offer electric hookups which is nice. Campgrounds are on he small size, but perfect for tents or small campers.

So nice to be in the park to enjoy all parts of our day. Electric hookups and pit toilets and views that are never ending. Big horn sheep in the sun. Great hikes. Biked part of the rim. I’ll be back to do more.

We really appreciate that both Black Canyon (South Rim) and Dinosaur (Green River) have lovely 1-2 mile hiking trails you can take your dogs on that leave from the campground area. This campground was lovely but our loop was the only one without bear boxes so we had more things to pile in the car each night. The gambel oak between sites created many private campsites, many with distant views,

Tent space was tight in the spot we had but it may have been better suited for a camper. Love the area and the canyon. Got to see a young black bear while driving the south rim road.

For being a national park and having an entrance fee on top of the camp fee, there is not a lot to do. The non-permit required hikes can quickly be done in a day or less. As far as campsites go, they are tiny, and most offer no shade. All day, you bake in the sun. However, most go here for the views at night, and sadly it was cloudy during my stay. Don't stay for more than a night unless you want to stargaze.

We stayed in a medium-sized RV. There were a couple of sites that would accommodate large RVs. The scrub oak did not offer any shade, but we were in a site with electricity so we could run our AC and fans. The camp host and hostess were very friendly and informative. We enjoyed the talk that that park ranger gave at the amphitheater. The campground had nice picnic tables and fire pits with attached grills for cooking. The bathrooms were very clean. There was no cell service at the campground. There were mule deer that visited our site on a few occasions.

We enjoyed our trip to Black Canyon - beautiful location. The campsites have enough space between them to give some privacy, and most of them have some shade for at least part of the day. If you are bringing an RV, fill up your water tank before arriving - there is nowhere to fill your tank at the campsite. There is some drinking water available, but it is not allowed to be used for toilets/dishes/showers/etc.

The campground was nice and clean. Our campsite had an interesting layout but it worked out okay. The table and grill was in usable condition. We took the boat ride in the canyon and found it to be a incredible experience...well worth the money. We very much enjoyed the drive around the canyon, several hikes and the lookouts. We also attended your evening presentation which was worth our time.
