We had electrical hookups, but no rv water tank filling or gray/black dumpstations. There is some water available to haul in a jug or bucket. No showers, but really clean vaults, and trash dumpsters. A really beautiful place. Deer, also frequent the campsite.

The campsites were spacious and offered excellent privacy. No real views from the sites near us, but the park is right there and views are easily accessible.

Ranger talk was very interesting and informative.Road construction and dust just had to deal with it. Toilets were basic.

I've been quite a few times over the years. This year the ParkRangers were exceptional!! Really seemed to be very proactive and informative to all visitors. Seemed to care about educating the public much more than in the past. Five star rangers!!

The campsite was easily found. There are three loops. We were in loop B. Ours was an electric site. Things to note: (1) there is no firewood to be purchased in the campground. Buy it at the entrance. (2) there isn't a dump station in the campground. (at least we couldn't find it). (3) there is not a check in at the gate to the campground. You will need to know your spot if you reserved it ahead of time. Take a screen shot of your email/reserve.gov site before you get into the park. Access to the internet was limited. Loved the campground and the visitor's center. The rangers and staff were very friendly and helpful. Get outside at night. The sky was amazing!

Pictures don't do any justice. Must be seen in person. Trails were great, the campsites were nice and tidy.

Quiet high desert campground near the rim of the canyon. Hiking trails are near the campground along the rim to the visitor's center and overlook. Loop B has electric, but water is only available at a bottle filling station as it has to be delivered from a nearby town. Good base to explore the canyon rim.

Overall great campground. Somehow, our site was one of the few without a bear box. Depending on your site, the trip to the bathroom is also quite long and inconvenient. The ground is good for tent camping and the fire pit is nice and deep. Close to the canyon - overall very nice.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
