Adequate for a short stay but not much more. Grass is beginning to overgrow sites as maintenance is lacking. Sites are cramped and the gravel that used to be in the driveways is long gone so now it's mud after rain. The canyon was great to visit but no reason to ever go back to the campground.

The toilets in loop B are the worse (full and stinky) I've ever seen at a national park. I'm hoping that means that the park is getting more traffic and wasn't prepared for the unexpected number of visitors. If that's the case, I don't know how that could be rectified. But, it was something I noticed.

Preface: pit toilets, no reception, shared bear boxes. If you can handle those things, its a great, quiet spot. Not a lot of overhead cover but many of the sites are extremely tucked away from one another. We have camped at 5+ National Parks on this trip and found it to be the quietest experience among them, even at capacity.

Excellent experience! We stayed on the South Rim for two nights and had a nice time. The site was layout was a little funky, but worked out fine. I would definitely recommend checking it out. Nice trails and a few are dog friendly.

This is a nice National Park campground close to hiking, the visitor center, and the main drive to enjoy the view points along the South Rim of the canyon. We were traveling in a 25' travel trailer and stayed in site B16. The site was plenty big for our camper and truck and was not too difficult to level. This site does have electric, but the pedestal was all the way at one end of the site, so depending on where you choose to put your camper, you may need a long electrical cord. It is a "parallel park" style site and unless you go through the loop backward, your door and steps will be facing the road instead of the site itself. Because of this, it is not an especially private site. Drinking water is available, but there is no place to fill an RV tank and there is no dump station, so plan accordingly. We did really enjoy attending the evening Ranger programs in the amphitheater.

If you get a chance, visit the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It is an amazing site and you won't be disappointed-it is spectacular!
