The campsite was awesome! I like that there were bushes and shrubs that made the campsite seem private as opposed to right next to other people camping. The Rim Trail leaving the campground to the visitor center was incredible!! I highly recommend this hike. Also, Warner's Point Trail was very cool.Montrose isn't too far away, so if you need to stock up on food or water before you go, it's a great place to go.The campsite does provide water but it is transported up and I am sure during busy seasons, it may run out. So take water with you anyways.

Beautiful spot. Very nice campground and camp host. The drive down to the bottom of the canyon was worth it. Easy to follow trail maps, as well.

This park is a hidden gem in Colorado. Its not crowded and the vistas are stunning. The campground is a great place to spend the night. The sites are private and have drinking water. Definitely make this a stop.

Good tent site, saw mule deer quite often in the campground. Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. Access to water is limited; no dish cleaning.

We had a wonderful time at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. The campsite was clean, shaded and the road and parking area in front of our site were well maintained and safe. The area was quiet and the bathrooms (pit toilets) were kept well stocked and clean. This park is a true National Treasure and we hope to come back to it many times over the next few years. Highly recommend this and also want to mention before closing that the Ranger talks were among the best we've ever experienced!

Loved the campground, terrific views, even the pit toilets smelled pretty good. Our only complaint was that both nights we camped there were other campsites that were playing loud music and talking way past quiet hours, which interfered with our ability to sleep as well as our ability to sit and listen to the sounds of nature and wildlife. We wished the rangers or camp hosts better enforced the quiet hours.

Most of the sites are small, but OK for smaller RVs. Somewhat close together, but good screening with the oaks, for the most part. Very poor cell reception, people often made friends with the one or two sites with any service at all!
