Stayed in site 34 on loop A. Very quiet and private, lots of foliage surrounding the site. We were there in June when the wildflowers were in bloom- very pretty!

A very nice campground with deer coming onto it. Our first site A 034 was a little narrow for our 30 feet RV, with many branches hanging in. But we were allowed to change it.

Helpful park staff, great campground location and a must-visit in Colorado. Very nice to have drinking water available at sites. No running water / sinks but not end of the world. Hike down to the bottom of the canyon if you can get a permit and dip in the river, absolutely a must-do while there. Hidden gem of the NPS.

Wonderful campground in this beautiful national park. We had a deer come right up to our campsite while we sat around the fire. Rangers were friendly and offered educational programs. We really enjoyed our stay.

Campground is nice but cramped. Sites are practically on top of one another.

I stayed three nights four days at the South Rim Campground. Overall, it was nice but as it was very hot in July, I wish the tent site would be more shaded. Remember there is no shower facility, so you have to come up with your way to clean yourself. I stayed four days because I drove through the scenic drive, took the Gunnison Route to the bottom of the canyon and drove to the North Rim. Also, I visited National Monument from here (one and a half hour drive).

Beautiful park for a day trip. Camping not so much. Camp host was friendly as were the staff at the visitor center. Good photo ops of the canyon. Very busy in the AM and PM at the vista points. Not dog friendly. Limited water on hand - had to fill at state park prior to entry. Can be very hot in July. Montrose is nearby if you need supplies however it has taken on hard times post COVID. Definitely make sure you valuables are secure. Not a place to get away from people they are everywhere!

Very nice facilities and campground. Limited in amenities, but is not necessary for most camping experiences.

The campground was quiet, the bathrooms were clean, and the accessibility to trails was convenient.

Campsites were clean, quite, no problem. Take the drive and try and do as many of the hikes as you're able. They are all beautiful.

Mobile Data Speed Map

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
