Quiet and clean! Restrooms were clean and not smelly. Campground host does an excellent job even though they are not on site at this campground.

Be warned. Some of these sites are not accurately represented on the map. For example: sites 11 and 12 are shared and would be very difficult to for 2 rigs in, not to mention how awkward it would be to share with a stranger.

Nice place, great scenery. A small elk herd hanging around. The only bad thing was the web page said water available but alas no handles on the pumps.

sites are generally quiet after dark.

The only reason for four stars instead of five was that the water hydrants had not been turned on yet so getting water was a problem. The camp host was very friendly and did a nice job. We went to the Medicine Wheel archeological site. We saw wild horses in Bighorn Canyon and took a boat tour of the canyon. We had a great family reunion.

Nice host and clean restroom.

A great place, clean toilets, just wish the ten sites had a designated graded level tent pad/area with timber borders like some other national forest sites have.

In the middle of a nice forest, good private lots. Two water sources, self registration for 20 USD. Good budget option for solo travelers

We enjoyed the quiet small campground and did some hiking and fishing in the area.

If you want to be away from the clutter, hang at Bald Mountain CG for a few days. Quietude, herd of elk on Bald Mountain. You can't beat it.

Everything was good, met expectations. One comment: On some of the sites when first entering the grounds, the site number was not legible, needs fixing.

Clean Campground, good fresh drinking water and clean pit toilets.

2 years I have stayed at this high elevation campground for several days. Each year, including this, the vault has not received cleaning/toilet paper replenishing service.

Campground was pleasant, only 15 sites. Toilets were clean and supplied. Handles on water pumps were not installed until a day after our arrival. There is a resident female moose who showed her presence several times. First time was a little scary because it was unexpected. She was just eating the shrubs along the road. Must see Porcupine Falls. With all the rain there are 2 falls. Beautiful! We hiked to the top of Bald Mountain. Could not find a trail so made our own path. Watch for elk on the mountain in the early mornings and evenings.

Beautiful campsite next to a small creek. Had half a dozen mule deer visit numerous times. Could have used some firewood, but there was no camp host and we couldn’t find a Ranger at the ranger station, nor a stack of wood. Will definitely come back.

Campground was nice, but the whole reservation thing is a joke. Got to the site I had reserved and someone else was already set up. There was no reservation for me put on the post. Went over to talk to the Campgrounds host and asked why he hadn't reserved my spot and he replied that there were a bunch of cancelations so he wasn't bothering with putting up the reservations anymore. He offered a different site, which was nice but not the one we wanted. Also there was nothing posted on the campground about which sites are reserved and which ones are first come first serve.
@WilliamH158481 · Camped on Aug 7, 2022 at Campsite #11
people that reserve camp sites should show up. most nights only 3 or 4 campers in sites

Loved this quiet campground on the top of the world. Our host was friendly and we had a great, if short stay.

We love this campground for it's high elevation, abundant wildlife and quiet, quiet quiet and have stayed there annually for several years. This time, we were disappointed to see a sign on the trash saying they were paid for by the camp host and locked because people were using large bags. Further, there was a constant shortage of toilet paper. I attribute these changes to the camp ground host and hope for better in the future.

The Campground host was most helpful and accommodating. Thank you Mick you really made my stay enjoyable.

Good experience again staying at this campground. The weather was good. More insects than normal, but that is camping. Plenty of elk , but few moose this year in campground.

Due to nearby Crater Ridge forest fire the access to the mountain roads, trails, and streams was forbidden by USFS. The air quality was very poor so decided at last minute not to use the campsite. Rating reflects USFS closure and smoke not campground or hosts. Have stayed at Bald Mountain 3 previous summers and enjoyed the area.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
