Nice facilities. Park and campground very clean.Only negative was you could not use the pool during the week.

Excellent choice for anyone. Clean, efficient, organized. There is a section/loop for everyone's needs. Spacious spots, good internet, quiet, scenic, and easy. Be sure you understand the road conditions to get there before you book.

Great campground. Sites are wonderful, they are laid out for optimum space between campsites. Bathrooms are nice.

Most sites are fairly level but vary in length. As with most campgrounds, some offer more privacy than others. The campground offers several loops, and the bathrooms are great- lots of hot water and very clean. Water pressure is very good with reliable electricity. Grab a map because there's unlimited hiking and spectacular scenery.

The area is beautiful but because of an elderly camper, we were only able to enjoy the campground and not do any hikes but there is plenty of solitude and peace in the campground and VERY pitch black at night so you can enjoy the stars and campfires.

Camped at Bandy Creek, D Loop, 37, in mid April. We were there for ten days. The hiking was spectacular as were the wildflowers. We stick to easy and moderate trails. For the best wildflowers, dont miss the River Trail which is also the start of the Angel Falls Overlook trail. Across the bridge from the Pavilion area. O&W Railroad trail was beautiful but swampy due to the rain. Twin Arches and Slave Falls are not to be missed, Angel Falls, John Litton FarmYou really cant pick a bad trail here. When reserving your site, be sure and pay attention to the length. We had a 30 foot fifth wheeler in a 40 foot site, with jacks all the way to the concrete bumper and still could not park the truck at the site. It was pulled under the trees across the street. All the sites appeared to be short. You will also need duct tape, bungy cords or zip ties to secure the handle of your water faucetweird non-freeze water faucets that wont stay open without assistance. Be sure to drive to Blue Heron on the KY side. They have a very interesting outdoor museum honoring the coal mining settlement with audio interviews of residents and workers. Very well done. The Blue Heron Loop is fabulous as well. We loved it and hope to return. We still have at least ten hikes we didnt have time to make!

I booked 3 sites for our camping/ hiking group. It was quite and nice. Campground and bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained. Park rangers drive by in the morning which in nice to see.

Lovely campground. Sites are well spaced. Very quiet. Sites were also clean and comfortable. Camp store is closed and town is at least 30 minutes away so come prepared.
