Very nice campground. quiet, peaceful and tranquil. Lots of hiking opportunities as well as a pool. Nice camp store with great fire wood at a very affordable rate.

Bandy Creek in Big South Fork is my favorite campground in the midwest to visit. Love the camp sites and the trails.

The campground was amazing. Everything was clean. Our only issue was the lack of Wi-Fi.

This was a beautiful campground and park. We hit it during peak color so the winding roads were that much more remarkable. We hiked the twin arches which is difficult to find. I could find the trail on Alltrails, but google won't find it so I had to just view the map until we made it. It was my favorite hike despite the rain. We also hiked the John Litton trail found along the road where there is dispersed camping. The dogs were in heaven. Not a super crowded park so it was ideal.

Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is a wonderful place full of beauty and many hiking trails. I stayed in Loop D at Bandy Creek Campground. Sites are well spaced, and most are large enough for a big rig. I have a small trailer so had lots of room. Bathrooms are clean and modern with good showers. Only suggestion is to put more hooks in the shower area. There is also a great dish washing sink.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bandy Creek. So many mountain bike and hiking trails to choose from. The scenery was beautiful as well. We had 6 inches of snow a couple days before we left and it was gorgeous. If you are visiting to spend time outdoors, this is a great option. If you want things to do in town for entertainment, this isnt the place for you. Also, if you are pulling an RV, do not use Leatherwood Rd (I thinkGoogle directions). The road is narrow, has a steep grade and had numerous blind switchbacks and even a rocky ridge jetting out into the road. We were pulling a 40 foot RV and were lucky no other vehicles were coming the other direction. Very dangerous and there should be something to warn you to go in from Jamestown, not Oneida. Only other issue was that our electric kept flickering during our stay and actually went out on the day we left. Apparently we had a bad plug at the box. It looked like they were replacing some of the boxes tho, so thats good.

Came for the story telling event but sound system wasn’t loud enough. We couldn’t hear the story tellers and we was sitting just outside the tent normally we sit at the parking lot where food trucks are at and can hear them just fine. Was very disappointed ended up leaving 3 story’s in and going back to camp.

There has been several changes at Bandy Creek. We camp at Bandy Creek often and have many friends who also use the park. The park use to put a sign up at your reserved site so others knew the site was taken. This is no longer done. Several times this year we have been witness to problems this is causing. One instance was with a camper in a reserved spot for over a day and the persons who had it reserved was told there was nothing that could be done about it by the camp host. The people in the reserved site were going off site and did not return to get their rig for over a day. This is just one example of the problem. Also a lot of older campers are not computer savvy and the only way to reserve a site now is thru the web. Over the past years we have never seen tent campers in loops B,C,D. Now they are everywhere and this causes problem with the sites in Loop B, C, and D not being available to Trailers/Rv's/Moterhomes. I have no problems with tent camping. We use to tent camp. However you cam't take a trailer to loop A where tent camping should be. When I asked a Park Ranger about it I was told tent camping could be anywhere at Bandy Creek not just Loop A. He said the only difference with Loop A was the camping site layout and there was no electricity. Well maybe the Park needs to look at putting electric power to Loop A !
