Two night unplanned visit turned out to be excellent. First the cons: this is 12 miles to anywhere for major supplies. Also, there are bears in this campground. Now the Pros: Arrived early October on a Monday, and plenty of spots. Prices are good too. Check in was simple, and Staff very helpful. So quiet, with nice trails, bath houses, and visitor center. One recommendation, dont get spot next to trash bins if you are worried about bears. One visited my spot the last morning, and left thier large paw print on the side of my car, but didn't even wake me. Just follow the rules, and you wont have any issue. Can't wait to return.

Nice campground. I stayed in A36 and it was decent. A lot of the sites are pretty close to each other so just be aware of that. I was really hoping to try out a new hammock sleep system but this site didn't have any trees in a suitable spot to hang it. Driving around I didn't really see too many other sites that would have worked either, so just be aware of that if you're a hammock camper. Overall it was a quiet stay even though the campground was full. Restrooms were clean and well kept and the staff were very friendly.

The campground was great! Water and bath house were conveniently located and easy to get to. The rangers were knowledgeable and helpful. The trail from Leatherwood Ford to O&W bridge was really nice. I definitely want to come back again.

Great tent loop in the campground - no RV's so no generators. Large, clean restrooms, great showers.
The ranger at the visitor center was extremely helpful and informative.
Price was very good with my senior pass discount.
Only objection - having to book through rec.gov instead of on site first come first serve.
