Clean facilities and great spacing between sites. Overall it was a beautiful campground to stay at.

We had the best time at Bandy Creek Campground! This was my son's first camping experience and it was perfect. The bathroom facilities are very well kept, camp sites were easy to set up, plenty of downed limbs to collect for fires, and of course the hikes and scenery are unbeatable. We went during fall break, so it was busy and lots of kids around.

This was a very nice campground. The plot areas for a tent were nice and flat, there is a post for a lamp and the fire ring was clean. The bathrooms were the best I have seen at a public campground. There could be improvements made on the trail signs from the campground areas.

We camped in Loop A, which is tent only, nonelectric, mid-week in August 2020. We were blessed with mild temperatures and none of the pesky afternoon thunderstorms. I won't describe the sites, because the listings are accurate. I will say that the bath houses are as nice as you're likely to find at a national park, with flush toilets, hot showers, an outside sink for washing dishes, and a water hydrant for filling jugs or tanks. There is also a large wheelchair accessible bathroom with roll-in shower. The park is still impacted by Covid-19, so some services were not open. The visitors centers were closed, the camp store is open only on weekends, and the swimming pool was closed. The campground check-in building was unstaffed when we arrived, and there was a sign instructing people without reservations to reserve and pay at recreation.gov. We had cell service, so it was easy and quick. If you don't have cell service, drive across the road to the camp store by the stables to use WiFi. The password is on a note at the front door. Overall, it was a great visit and we will definitely be back to Loop A.
