The E2 group site was absolutely amazing on its own not even counting the insane value for money. The pavillion was beautiful, the bathrooms were clean and perfect, the group fire pit was awesome, and the individual sites were just right for all of the different equipment types we brought in our group. If we could've stayed in the area longer I would've loved to extend our stay, but I will come back. Definitely the best NPS experience I've had, and one of the best camping experiences overall.

While the tent pads lean a bit, the hiking was excellent.

Very nice park with light traffic. Trails are good, some require a short drive. Be aware you are in Bear country and poisons snakes are around.

BSF is awesome! The back country has magnificent rock formations everywhere. I have through hiked the park twice and been on maybe 100+ trips to the area. We host an event for about 50 to 100 of our closest friends and family every year in the group camp area. The facilities are the cleanest and best maintained I have seen in any park. Thank you BSF Staff!

This was my Google review: "Love the park and it was great until we had others camping in our group area. I went to the visitors info area and ask them about it. It seems it was a trail cleanup weekend for bicycle enthusiast. Free camping in exchange for trail clean up. When they were coming in they were telling them to camp anywhere in "e" section. E-section is pretty big and our group area was part of "E" section. Pretty ticked off that I spent $400 so our group could have a private group camp but instead got invaded by complete strangers. One of the perks of having a group camp is having the restroom facilities all to ourselves. That didn't happen, every time we turn around our ladies room was completely trashed. Of course every time we cleaned it up. We had trucks flying through our camping area like it was a raceway. One even told me b**** get out of the road as I was walking to the pavilion. When I reserved the group camp 5 months prior they told me if I ended up not having the 50 people that I could call and get a refund if it was minimum 2 weeks prior to our date. Call to get a refund 3 weeks prior they said no sorry. I think it is pretty bad that they were telling others to camp in an area that they couldn't give me a refund for. The area I paid $400 bucks for. Yes I complained at the information desk as well as spoke with the camp host about it. I will never again stay at the group site."

We have been camping at Bandy Creek in the group campground with friends for 25 years. This was the first time we have camped there in April, and Big South Fork is lovely as spring commences. The wildflowers in particular were captivating. The group campgrounds at Bandy Creek are a perfect gathering spot for family and friends. The individual sites had been freshly graded, and the bear boxes spread around the loop are very helpful. The screened pavilion with its large fireplace was our home base, and we gazed at the stars around the fire circle. The bathhouses, as usual, were spotless. We look forward to returning again with our friends.
