Excellent campground. The way camping ought to be. Large sites w space between em. Clean and woodsy.

This park has the most awesome bike paths we have ever seen and they are directly accessible from the campground. While I like the features of the campground, there are some really dumb things about it. We have a motorhome, so we can’t just drive somewhere without unhooking everything. There is only one place in the whole huge campground to dump your trash. For us, we had to make a mile long walk, just to dump our trash and we were in the middle of the campground. The second dumb thing they did was close more than half the shower houses at the same time for remodeling and it wasn’t every other one. They were all in the same area. That was a half mile round trip for us. The third dumb thing they did was close the store at 3:30 pm every day. The official check in time is not until 4:00 pm. Great campground; dumb management.

Campgrounds were nice, but the best part was the stables across the street. Melissa Ming at the stables was very kind and helpful. From supplying clean, safe, comfortable housing for our horses to supplying trail maps and guidance to the Big south fork National recreation area across the street.
