We love camping at Bandy Creek! We enjoyed Thanksgiving weekend with family. Everything was well kept as always, and the bathrooms were clean and warm! We will be back!

We were in D Loop and our campsite had a very nice view of the lake. The campsites are spacious and well-kept. The showers were great. We rode through all the loops and almost any of them would be acceptable for us due to the nice spacing and trees. This area of Tennessee/Kentucky is awe-inspiring. Even though it rained our first 3 days there, it was beautiful. We took drives and enjoyed the lovely fall colors. This area seems to have a great diversity of tree species and other plants. I discovered two trees that I had never seen before! We hope to visit here more often and in many seasons. Athough we only hiked two trails, they were both incredible. The information about the trails seems accurate and they were rated as to difficulty. The Twin Arches set your mind to wondering what it was like when the area was home to its native people, and also how many other places there must be that are inaccessible and still as stunning. Nice sunny visit to Pickett CCC State Park to sit on the river and have our packed lunch. We also enjoyed visiting the old farmsteads. At one cemetery there was a stone erected to a woman who had been born in 1796! We are so pleased to have finally visited what is certainly our own Grand Canyon of the South.

Every thing was fine except the campground host needs to leave. She is something to be desired.
The departure time is 12:00, she was trying to get us to leave earlier due to the next guest coming in. She was terribly rude.
