Bandy Creek is a great campground and base to explore Big South Fork and Pickett State Park. The campground is well maintained and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. The geological formations are impressive and you can spend a good half day taking a train ride from Sterns, Ky to a coal mining town that the park maintains.

Beautiful place. My family makes it an annual event. The hikes to Bow Arch and Twin Arches are amazing.

Nice campground, centrally located to many of the hiking trails. Twin Arches and John Litton trails are not to be missed. Beware of the road entering from Oneida as the road has 15% grade and hairpin turns and be sure you bring surge protector as the campground was dealing with low voltage when we were there.
