Campground was not very busy in early-May (big plus). Somewhat out of the way and not a lot to do beyond some hiking. Campsite was nice (#24) with electric and water hookup. Most of the campsites looked nice. Some were unlevel beyond being able to level an RV. The campground is not patroled - never saw anyone except one maintenance person with a weed trimmer. So it was pretty much self-help. Nearby there is a mining camp re-creation/outdoor museum. It looks like it used to be visited by a tourist train but no longer. It is falling into disrepair. Price was right with senior lifetime pass - $10/night.

The road going to the campgrounds is narrow. The camping sites are roomy and very nice. Very few sites for large campers, mainly for 30' or less. Very quiet and beautiful area with lots of trails nearby.

Campground and facilities were clean and in good condition. No host but all went well. Will stay there again.

This is a good place to be outdoors, things to see includes old mining camp and scenic overlooks. If you like to fish the big south fork river is there. Plenty of hiking trails, great campground.

Loved the campground. We hiked several trails and also visited the Blue Heron Mining Company.

Pretty park, well maintained. Liked seeing the rangers doing drive thrus since there was no host.

I think it would be helpful if there was more information about how to use the water hook up. I had to ask my neighbor and then had to pass the information to two other campers when they came in.
