The campground was sooooo loud until late at night and then again super early in the morning. Kids screaming on bikes and riding around at 630 in the morning. Bright lights from many of the campers flooded the campground most of the night and made stargazing basically impossible. I wouldnt go back.

Having stayed at commercial sites and paid much more I must say that Blue Heron was amazingly better in so many ways. The site and amenities were phenomenal. I will be returning to explore the area more in the near future.

Very nice campsites and facilities. Only 3 campsites were occupied. Signage on highways could be improved directing one to the campground.

Stayed 2 nights while motorcycling. Second night thunderstorms and wind. Stayed dry and the water and power was convenient. 2 showers for the men and plenty of restrooms in the center of the campground. Would definitely stay there again. Recommend visiting the overlooks and Mine area. All within a few miles from there. Everyone was quiet and friendly.

Felt a little crowded and our site didn't feel very private, but since we were on a campsite on the edge, we could look out at the trees, which was lovely. Amenities were very clean and comfortable.

We spent two nights at campsite #30 in mid October. Overall the visit was quite pleasant. The campsites are clean and well maintained. Each campsite has a fire ring with adjustable grill, water, 30 amp electricity and a picnic table. The bathroom and shower facility was exceptionally clean and had plenty of hot water for showering as well as hot water, soap, and paper towels at the sinks, unusual in my experience. There are hiking trails with beautiful vistas of the Big South Fork nearby and an interesting outdoor museum documenting early logging and mining activity in the area. The only negative I have is the asphalt parking ramp for our site was relatively short and steeply inclined fore and aft and mildly so sideways making it difficult to impossible to level our truck camper. I set up the camper on the level gravel area to the side and was later told this was not permitted, that that area was only for tent campers, a real hassle.

Nice camp site spacing and clean restrooms.Need to post instructions or what camp sites are available. We arrived with no reservations since most of the park area has no WFIand/or we want to be spontaneous on Our day. There are plastic signs on most or allCampsites that say reserved...I think maybe the intention may be to use plastic marker to write your departure date once you arrive. We arrived in daylight and ask another visitor how toMake a reservation so found a site...Will definitely come back. Thank you.
