We enjoyed our stay here. Site had a downward slope at the entrance but with a smaller camper you can level out at the end near the hookups. It had water and power and a dump station. Campground was near the Blue Heron mine community area and near the 6 1/2 mile Blue Heron Loop Trail. It was clean and quiet in October. There wasn't a camp host and I never saw any staff, maybe due to the federal shutdown, but everything was clean and maintained.

The site was fantastic and the canpground clean. My only complaint would be that it would have been nice to have sewer hook ups. But overall a great campground and located in the vicinity of some great hiking.

Very nice NP campground. Water, electric and even WiFi! Hiking trails nearby and a train ride with mine tour in Sterns, about 15 minutes away. River access about 15 minutes also.

Great campground. Quiet, relaxing and nice sites. Grass is a bit tall so keep deet spray on to avoid chiggers (yep, whole family got them).

Only offer 30 amp power and there is no sewer hook-up on site, but there is a dump station. We knew this ahead of time but updating would be nice. There was no personnel of any card present during our 2 night stay and we had noisy neighbors on all sides until well into the evening every night. Wanted to camp in our new RV before winterizing it, so this trip was late for any "colors" and fairly chilly. We went for an 8.5 mile hike on the Blue Heron Loop, which was nice, but I think there is more to do and see at the Bandy Creek Campground, on the Tennessee end of the Big South Fork State Park. No reason to return.
