Great little campground - no water or electric at the sights (so avoids the biggest RVs). There is a full bathroom with hot showers on one end (very clean). We stayed two nights the very end of the season (closed April 16th) and just a couple of other campers. We had site 26 - with all the sites at that end of the lake have afternoon shade. Good base camp for exploring Big Cypress, Ten Thousand Islands, and Shark Valley Trail in Everglades.

The sites in this campground is not deep and were on top of each other. Barely any room between sites and no vegetation to provide any privacy. This was made worse by allowing tents to be set right next to rvs. We had to move site because they allowed a large group to set up 6 tents in the site next to us. Their tents were 3 feet away from our fire pit, could be a serious safety issue if any ambers pop on to the tents. We informed the camp hosts and they told us they couldnt do anything about it. We had to move our rig and set up somewhere elseluckily another spot up the loop got open because someone decided just to leave. The views of the stars at night are superb but not worth the hassles of the people on top of each other and the lunar dust kicked up by every truck driving 4 feet from your camp site. It wasnt a good experience at all.

What an amazing experience! We have 32' class C and we tow aour jeep and it was perfect. Such a gem! If you can boondock (dry camp) and love nature, THIS IS THE PLACE! We hit this campground twice because those with utilities were fully booked, but it turned out to be an absolute blessing! Can't wait to come back!

It is a nice convenient spot in the Everglades. The camp host was friendly. Unfortunately I had a difficult night as the mosquitoes came out at dusk and were horrible all night long. However, I had to sleep in my car which was hot so I cracked the windows, so I'm sure they kept getting in. And I'm pretty tolerant in general but didn't expect this as there were none or few out in the daytime and evenings.

This place is gorgeous! Quiet, clean, well taken care of. The hosts are the best! Very friendly and they make sure you are happy and comfortable. It is off-grid/boondocking/no hook ups, but there is a water hose open for anyone to use. The alligators and birds and turtles are amazing to see! AND they just stick to themselves. We saw the alligators every single day, and it was really cool to just see them in their own environment. At first it was scary, cause they were RIGHT THERE! BUT they really do stay in the lake, or on the side of the lake, right near the signs that say to stay away from the alligators. haha! I completely recommend this place for camping with no hook ups. After traveling the country in an RV full time for almost a year, I can honestly say that this was one of my favorite places to stay.
