Staff and volunteers were excellent.. campground was clean as was the restrooms/showers.. Phone service was great although no internet.. The small lake was a zero for fishing .. probably because of the 3 medium to large gators! No electric or water on the RV sites but I have a generator as most RV's and a 70 gallon water tank..

Beautiful sunsets on the lake, showers are hot and clean, quiet with great views, nicely spaced sites and excellent cell service. Really enjoyed activities via the park service, Emily is fun and a fabulous instructor. Road in the campground needs attention though.

Lovely place perfect for a pit stop for a few days no need to fill your fresh water tank before hand theres a hose buy the restrooms for that restrooms are clean lots of Miskitos after dark but hey your in the Everglade.. a free dump station just down the road at the midway campground super freindly staff definitely return again !! Excellent cell coveridge the towers are close buy

Great spot to explore area. Very good WiFi connection, some road noise, also seems easy to get stuck between big rigs so choose tent area if you are small

Wonderful weekend during the 2023 Everglades City Seafood Festival. Campground staff were extremely nice and informative. However, be prepared for the east side bathrooms and flies. Nature is nature. Other than that, neat and clean campground.

We loved this campsite! Lake was beautiful, the ranger we talked to clearly loved his job, the shower was great! We plan to come here again when our schedule permits!

Loved our stay at Monument Lake! It was so peaceful and quiet and the campground hosts were super friendly! Great sunsets, nice people, good showers (and cell service) and a few gators hanging out too (at a distance, of course). Also, there is a dump station just a few minutes up the road, so dont let the no-hookup situation scare you! Would love to stay here again.

The setting of the campground is beautiful and each site is well maintained and spacious. I had a strong internet/cell reception thanks to a nearby tower. I preselected a spot next to the vault toilets only to arrive and find out that they were closed. The other bathroom was on the opposite side of the lake, and that morning lost electricity so all the people were coming from the other side of the lake to the closed toilets by my campsite. So aside from the toilet situation I would give this a high rating.

The camp hosts were very nice and welcoming. The campsite was just what we needed and the alligators were very cooperative in their exbisitions. I'd stay here again on my next trip without a doubt. Since this might not be everyones cup of tea I preface - the cell signal is great because there's a town 100 yards from the site.
