Lovely setting. Quiet and accessible to all there is to do in the area (which isnt much, except for all the nature exploration). Strong internet connectivity.

Loved this location. Seemed to be in the center of the preserve. I have a stargazing window and the night sky didnt disappoint. Sunrise and sunset were amazing. The volunteers and park guest were friendly and helpful. The shower (only one) was great and the accessory holder was a bonus. Posted was a list of activities to schedule through the visitor center. I went on two different swamp walks. Two total different experiences. The rangers are very knowledgeable. I hope to go back for more adventures.

Really nice place. Great host. Great hot showers. unfortunately we had people next to us in a trailer who thought that just because it was allowed, they could run there generator all the time during allowed hours! They need lessons on energy management!

This is a great little stop. Campsites are a good size so that you are not right on top of your neighborhood. Well maintained. Easy in and out.

Pulled into Monument Lake experiencing a mechanical problem. Had a five day reservation, so I had plenty of time to call a tow rig to pull to a shop. After talking to Chris and the rest of the volunteers, I was told to not worry about time, that they would work with me and to not worry about checking out deadline! What a load off my mind! After John gave me directions to a cluster of auto parts stores in Naples, I was able to spend a day and round up all the parts and tools I would need to make the repair! Luckily, my camp neighbor, who was a farmer, was very knowledgeable in fixing combines in the field! WE fixed it, now it's good to go back to Pennsylvania! Still had three days to enjoy the area, really enjoy this campground and thanks to all who chipped in and let me focus on repairing my rig! Good internet, new shower, Great Church, First Baptist of Everglade City.

Best boondocking experience we had in thr Big Cypress Preserve. The Lake is lovely, camp hosts were helpful and available, facilities were clean and well maintained. We'd definitely visit again.

The campground is clean and lovely, the hosts and maintenance crew were warm and welcoming, and the area is a natural wonderland. The only real drawback was the fire pits. None of them work. The hosts have requested they be fixed for months but there has been no response.
