Weve stayed at Midway several times because of its convient location. Recommend they upgrade their restrooms to include showers, and add water hook ups to the sites. The CG hosts were very helpful.

Between Miami and Naples on the old Alligator Alley, this out-of-the-way and peaceful campground is a good value. The groundskeeper keeps the park beautiful and well-groomed; Mosquitos were not a nuisance; Level RV pads; Shady spots on the East side of the lake; If you're wary of falling acorns, park on the West side of the lake; Paved road around the lake is good for kids on scooters or bikes and athletes in training. If you want to get out of the world to escape the Rat Race and phone calls from busybodies in your life, THIS is the place for you! Practically no WiFi and sketchy phone service. (Texts DO go through on average, just in case of emergencies, at least for us ... we have Verizon.)

Nice campground but no showers. The facilities are there to add showers. Should be done.

Visit most winters for a week of so. Miles to "anywhere", but quiet and clean, but showers 10 miles away. 50A . Water near dump station, no water at sites. Small dog park could be a nice improvement.

Nice campground in the middle of Big Cypress. Electric hookups at each site. No water hookups, but water available. There is a bathroom, but no showers. There is also a dump station. Bring what you need, there is nothing around.

Stayed for one night in January of 2025. Weather was cool at night and pleasant during the day. I did not experience any mosquitos at all. Camp hosts were very pleasnant. It seems all tables and bench fixtures are brand new ,concrete type. Bathroom was very clean and so was my site.

Great location to visit big Cypress preserve sites midway between Naples and Miami! Having electric hook ups are a big plus over some of the other dry camping sites in the area. We make it a point to stop every year for a night or two on our way down to the Keys.

The Snail Trail on the 20 mile loop road was an easy walk and interesting to see how many Tree snails we could see. We have a family competition every time to see who can find the most.

Really enjoyed our time here (except the day with a tornado watch , lol)
We explored big cypress, did the loop road, went to the Smallest Post Office (a funny surprise as we mailed our Christmas cards)
Definitely plan on returning, didn’t have enough time to see it all

Excellent camp ground. The location is good. Was able to go to the country store to pick up some incidentals. Kinda pricey thought :(. But still worth the trip. Will definitely do it again.

Great location in the central area of Big Cypress National Preserve. The campground is well maintained with a dump station and fresh water. Campsite pads are paved. Very friendly campground hosts. Cell phone service is intermittent, very poor.
