Very rustic Campground, 50 amp service, cell service poor,no wifi sewer dump station near exit. Campground was a spot just for overnight.

Lovely small campground. All the camp host were wonderful and helpful. Our site was perfect.I will say the water pressure at the dump area was less than 20. Very hard to fill our tank, since no water at your sitethat wasnt great. We do wish that you would make a dog park. Either on the hill by the dump station or in front of the park. Since we cant walk the dog on the trails because of wildlife, that would be really helpful.

Great park so close to many things to do in and around the Everglades. The park staff is so friendly. Take the ride down to Everglades NP. It's so worth the ride. Do the scenic drives around Big Cypress. We saw so many birds and gators.

The campground is excellent for a limited amenities site. However, it would be nice to have two toiles in the men's bathroom and at least an outdoor shower for the tent campers. The only toilet in the men's restroom serves as a changing room and many times people use the sink as a sponge bath area, camping out for a long time while people wait for the only toilet.

Great campground hosts, welcomed us and gave a thorough orientation. Sites were clean, nice spacing between them, the location was central for visiting Big Cypress. It was great to have electricity.

We enjoyed this campground. It was quiet, smaller, and "gray-hairs" mostly. If you are looking for sewer and water hookups, this is NOT for you. Also it does NOT have showers. The night sky was great. USH 41 is right next to the camp, so there is some truck/traffic noise.

Very nice experience. Rangers were very nice and welcoming. We only stayed one evening on our way to the Keys, but we will make future plans for a longer visit.

Perfect campground. Very clean and groomed but definitely get that wilderness feel with all the vegetation behind the 2 rows of campsites. Love the little pond. Only with that the very kind hosts were more strict with the owners of the barking dogs. Great place to watch the stars if your brave enough to be outside after dark!

Beautiful and quiet camping close to the National Parks. The wildlife here are fun to watch and my kids enjoyed catching and releasing frogs. Beautiful pond in the middle. Sites are nice a level for RV's. Easy dump and fill station near the entrance. Minus a few more mosquitos and we really enjoyed our stay.

This is a very nice and clean campground in the middle of the everglades. This area is known as alligator alley for a reason, alligator's will cross the road to get from one area of water to another. The highway is just a long and straight 2 lane road from east to west across the southern point of Florida. I would highly recommend going on an airboat tour while you are in the area. If you have small animals keep them indoors!!

Very comfortable, midway point. Lots of nature to see outside the grounds.

Very good location in regards to the area around the Everglades. Sites were layed out well for any size rig. Throwing a fishing line in the water was nice. The only negative comment is Sunday evening the bathrooms were especially hammered and needed attention. There were quite a few tenters, but more people require more attention to facilities and it was near capacity that evening. Water and dumping easily accessible. Would return.

Staff was friendly, park was quiet. Fun experience to be out under the stars, and have your morning coffee with gators.

Beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Buggy at night but remember you’re in the Everglades.

It is a quiet, restful campground. The bathrooms were heavily used but well maintained and clean. Hosts were extremely friendly.

Midway really is the middle of BICY. It is a fantastic place to camp with the family for several reasons.
1. Its central location in the preserve.
2. It is a small loop road campground. Even the youngest of bike riders can go around easily and safely.
3. Clean bathrooms.
4. SMALL campground. I think there are less than 40 sites in the whole place.
5. It is in the middle of an International Dark Sky area. We were there Dec 2020 and saw the Christmas star and the arm of the milky way.
6. The fishing in the canal across the road is pretty good.

On the downside the whole campground is between 25 and 250 meters from the Tamiami Trail (US 41) where cars and trucks drive by at 55+ mph day and night (fewer at night but still frequent). This makes the place a little noisy in spite of it being 20+ miles from any town or gas station.

Be sure to have food and provisions for your whole stay unless driving to a town is part of your plans.

The best part of the whole National Preserve experience for me is the opportunity to go off trail and explore anywhere your heart desires. This one off type of hiking makes for fewer trails that can scar the various plant communities. The ecology of this vast preserve is wonderful to explore and staying at Midway put us right in the middle of it.
