Highly recommend this little jewel of a campground. Perfect location to explore the Everglades. Campground personal are outstanding people, we had some mechanical issues when we arrived and they were a great source of information and help. Thanks so much guys.

Site 11 has 50amp power, and was level and long enough to fit my 34ft class A motorhome and 4 door jeep. Not a lot of trees, good for starlink

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Midway Campground. Nice and quiet with clean bathrooms. However, I do wish they had a bathhouse on site, otherwise it's lovely.Nice and close to Everglades National Park - Shark Valley Visitor Center (must see) and the Big Cypress National Preserve - Oasis Visitor Center & Boardwalk (lot's of wildlife to see).We well definitely be back!

We use midway as a stopover. It is a really nice, small, quiet campground. They only have electric. Water and a dump are available. Sites are level and paved. It is a registered Dark Sky and the host that checked us in, let us know. Consequently this visit all of the campers were sensitive to the light pollution and the sky was gorgeous. Theres the national park visitor center just a mile down the road which has lots of alligators to see. Theres kayaking amd hiking nearby too.

It would have been nice to have water at the campsite we stayed in instead of needing to fill our fresh water holding tank before we parked our 5th wheel. I didn't see that on the website.

Great campground. Made for a great overnight from the keys to Tampa before the hurricane. Two weeks before we stayed there and drove the 21+ mile road. Very nice. Electric made the stay perfect.

This is a beautiful site, very quiet and clean. Only wish they had water hookup, but electricity is good. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. It was an overnight stop for us on the way to Marathon Key but I can see staying longer and taking advantage of the trails and the serenity around the lake.

Stayed 2 nights with our 38 ft Class A motor coach. Nice size site with paved pad. Used as base for day trips for airboat rides and swamp buggy tours in the area. Very clean sites. Dump station and water available near exit. Easy in and out for our coach. All sites have view of the pond that had a 6 ft alligator when we were here. Some folks were fishing in the pond, tho did not see if anyone caught anything. Kids enjoyed riding bikes around the campground loop. Expect typical bugs after sunset being in the Everglades.

Always a perfect stopover. ....Welcoming volunteers, clean facilities, quiet, and nice view of “lake” and bird watching. Good location for shark valley, visitor center, and gator watching.

The Midway campground is an ok place to stay for one or two night. Unfortunately we booked for a whole week w/o thorough research in advance. The campground it self is quiet and clean but water access and dump station is not as easy as it should be. The biggest problem is the completely lack of any cell signal, no cell phone of data access will work in this location even with our Wilson amplifier and external antenna. To check email, I had to drive about 14 miles to the cell tower location with my ATT Mobley device and laptop in my Jeep. We stuck there and left one day earlier.
